On December 22, Fujian's first spiral steel pipe measuring 9 meters in length, 3,400 millimeters in diameter, and 29 millimeters in wall thickness rolled off the production line at the workshop of Bohai Petroleum Equipment Fujian Steel Pipe Co., Ltd. in the Kemen Park of the Lianjiang Economic Development Zone, marking that Fujian Province's ultra-large-diameter, ultra-thick-walled spiral steel pipes have officially entered the stage of mass production, filling the gap for such products within the province.

      It is understood that the product rolled off the line this time adopts the spiral seam submerged arc welding process, with a length that can be flexibly customized between 8 and 10 meters. Compared with the conventional three-roll straight seam welded pipe process, its production efficiency is increased by more than 4 times. Such steel pipes can be widely used in major engineering fields such as municipal water supply and drainage, bridge engineering pile foundations, wind turbine towers, and artificial island cofferdams.
