On the afternoon of April 29, the water conveyance project of the Guangxi Changtang Reservoir Project, together with the Yongfu County Water Resources Bureau, the owner, the supervision unit, the design unit and other organizations, carried out a flood-control emergency drill, using "real combat" to promote "readiness" and lay a solid foundation for safely passing the flood season.

Based on the actual conditions of the project construction site, this drill was conducted in the Yongfu construction area of Renhe Tunnel 1# Adit and the nearby sections prone to rainstorm scouring. It realistically simulated an emergency scenario in which, due to continuous extreme rainstorms, the project site suddenly experienced floods exceeding the design standard, the drainage ditch on the left side of the tunnel was blocked, some flood-control sandbags at the tunnel portal were washed away, and there was a risk of backflow. In the temporary facilities area, water accumulated to a depth of 40 cm near the mobile crusher, and the drainage pumps were overloaded.

 "Received. Immediately activate the emergency plan." As the alarm sounded, on-site management personnel quickly completed disaster reporting and immediately activated the Level II flood-control emergency plan. Each emergency team immediately arrived at the scene to carry out rescue. The rescue and emergency response team organized excavators to clear the blocked section of the tunnel and used sandbags to intercept water in the confluence area; the logistics team set up cordons around the surrounding area and directed traffic to ensure that rescue routes remained clear; the technical team used drones to observe whether there were signs of landslides or other disasters at monitoring points and other areas, and carried out early warning; the rescue team used stretchers to quickly transfer the injured to a safe area; the medical team promptly contacted the Yongfu County People's Hospital and performed CPR on the injured. Five minutes later, the ambulance arrived at the scene. After careful deployment by the on-site commander-in-chief, the injured were successfully rescued, the floodwater was discharged in an orderly manner, the tunnel was reinforced in a timely manner, equipment operated normally, and the emergency was ultimately brought under effective control.

Preparing through drills and holding the defense line. This flood-control drill not only tested the feasibility and effectiveness of the project's flood-control emergency plan, but also further improved the flood-control emergency response capabilities and coordinated operational capabilities of all personnel, providing strong support for safely and smoothly passing the flood season. The water conveyance project of the Changtang Reservoir Project will always maintain high vigilance, firmly establish the risk awareness and bottom-line thinking of "guarding against major floods, resisting major floods, responding to major emergencies, and providing relief for major disasters," further optimize the flood-control work system, and make every effort to do a good job in flood-control work in 2025.
