Traditional fuel-powered mining vehicles play an important role in mine transportation, but as mining vehicles "age," the drawbacks of rising vehicle failure rates and increased fuel consumption and emissions are becoming increasingly prominent. Today, through advanced oil-to-electric conversion technology, North Industries Group has successfully injected green momentum into old mining vehicles, giving them a second life cycle.
Recently, the "oil-to-electric" project undertaken by North Industries Group for a client—converting 6 TR100 vehicles to TR100E—was completed on schedule and smoothly delivered to the user. Facing numerous challenges including tight schedules, heavy tasks, and urgent delivery deadlines, the company's maintenance personnel worked for over a hundred days to overcome difficulties. By formulating detailed work plans, rationally allocating personnel, and strengthening multi-department coordination, they successfully completed the core conversion of old mining vehicles—removing three components and replacing three electric systems—while also overhauling the front and rear suspension systems and front and rear axles, and refurbishing the frame and cargo bed, ensuring the converted vehicles were delivered to the client on schedule in brand-new condition.

After "oil-to-electric" conversion, compared with traditional diesel vehicles of the same tonnage, the pure electric mining vehicles reduce operating costs by 85% and maintenance costs by 75%. This "oil-to-electric" technology not only meets customers' environmental demands for developing green mines, but also achieves a substantial reduction in transportation costs, significantly improving economic benefits and successfully creating a win-win situation for equipment renewal and energy conservation and emission reduction.
As a leading enterprise in China's off-highway mining dump truck industry, North Industries Group actively implements the national "dual carbon" policy. The successful completion of this "oil-to-electric" project not only reduces mine operating costs, but also significantly reduces carbon emissions by replacing traditional fuel drive with electric power. Next, against the backdrop of the continued deepening of the "dual carbon" strategy, North Industries Group will continue to deepen its technical research and development in "oil-to-electric" conversion, injecting green momentum into customers' equipment renewal and low-carbon transformation, and helping to achieve the national dual carbon goals.
