On April 17, as the diversion tunnel gate was slowly lowered, the Jianke Hydropower Station, in whose construction the Beijing Institute and the Hydropower Foundation Bureau participated, successfully closed its gates and began impounding water, marking the station's formal entry into the energy storage stage.

The Jianke Hydropower Station is located in Songpan County, Aba Prefecture, Sichuan Province. It is the uppermost of the three cascading levels in the "one reservoir, three levels" cascade development of the Mao'ergai River, and serves as the "leading reservoir" station. The main structures consist of the headworks, the Yanggonggou water diversion project, the water conveyance system, and the powerhouse complex. The Beijing Institute and the Hydropower Foundation Bureau respectively participated in the digital construction of the station and in construction works such as foundation treatment for the headworks and rerouting of roads in the reservoir area, which not only effectively raised the level of digital infrastructure construction at the station but also enables the use of the reservoir-area bypass road to support local agricultural product sales and rural tourism services and other industries.

It is reported that the station has a total installed capacity of 246,000 kilowatts and an average annual power generation of 898 million kilowatt-hours. It is expected to be commissioned for power generation in June this year, and can save about 292,000 tons of standard coal and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 717,400 tons annually, which is of great significance for promoting the optimization of the local energy structure and supporting regional energy conservation, consumption reduction, and economic development.
