Recently, PowerChina Chengdu Engineering Corporation Limited won the bid for the Phase I EPC project of the Zigong Southern Water Supply System and the Yalong River Muli New Energy Project, continuing to make sustained efforts in its core fields such as water affairs and new energy.

The southern water supply project is the first large-scale municipal water plant in China to be contracted on a full lump-sum basis, covering Yantan District, Gongjing District, Da'an District and Ziliujing District of Zigong City. The construction content includes key facilities such as the southern water plant (200,000 tons/day), raw water transmission pipelines and distribution pipelines. The project has many sub-items and comprehensive water supply content, and is characterized by large scale, complex systems, numerous boundary conditions and difficult site treatment. It is expected that after completion, it will significantly improve the regional water resource utilization efficiency of Zigong City and provide support for the water supply safety of Zigong residents and economic development.

The Muli new energy project is a wind and solar project cluster, including 4 photovoltaic projects and 2 wind power projects, with a total capacity of 2.5 million kilowatts, including 1.95 million kilowatts of photovoltaic projects and 550,000 kilowatts of wind power projects.
