On April 2 local time, the Cameroon Representative Office of PowerChina and the Kribi Port Authority of Cameroon officially signed the contract for the Cameroon Kribi 225 kV Power Transmission Line Project. Melom Patrice, General Manager of the Kribi Port Authority, the PowerChina project leader, and relevant project personnel attended the signing ceremony.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Melom Patrice stated that this cooperation is an important step in advancing the development of energy infrastructure in Kribi, Cameroon, and expressed the expectation that the project will be implemented at an early date, injecting new momentum into local economic and social development.

The Kribi 225 kV Power Transmission Line Project includes the expansion of two incoming feeder bays at the Kribi Industrial Park substation and the construction of a new double-circuit overhead transmission line with a total length of 41.7 kilometers. Once completed, the project will significantly improve the stability of power supply in the local grid, provide more reliable electricity guarantees for Kribi port operations, enterprise production, and residents' daily life, and help drive coordinated local economic development.

Since entering Cameroon's engineering contracting market in 2009, PowerChina has undertaken a number of energy projects in the country, including the Memve'ele Hydropower Station, the Memve'ele Power Transmission Line, and the Yaounde 225 kV Power Transmission Ring Line, making important contributions to Cameroon's energy and economic development and earning widespread acclaim. This signing will further consolidate the company's position in Cameroon's energy sector and demonstrate the recognition of the PowerChina brand in the country.
