On the 4th, escorted by the Xiamen Maritime Safety Administration patrol vessels "Haixun 0807" and "Haixun 08181," the "Erhang Zhuoyue," the largest double-boom luffing crane vessel in China, successfully arrived at the construction waters of the Xiamen-Kinmen Bridge (Xiamen section) project. The vessel will participate in operations including the installation of the tie beams of the east anchorage steel caisson and the lifting of steel box girders.

It is reported that the "Erhang Zhuoyue" is 165 meters long and 52 meters wide, with a deck area exceeding that of 20 standard basketball courts. It is the most technologically advanced double-boom luffing crane vessel with the largest lifting capacity among vessels of its type in China to date. Its maximum lifting capacity reaches 5,500 tons, and the maximum lifting height of its hook is 120 meters. Its double-boom luffing equipment can meet the lifting requirements for non-navigable span bridges with a maximum span of 130 meters. At the same time, the vessel adopts green and energy-saving technologies such as photovoltaic energy storage and high-efficiency permanent magnet motors, which can meet the needs of intelligent and prefabricated construction of large-scale offshore engineering, making it worthy of the title "a masterpiece for bridge construction."

According to Zou Sheng, deputy director of the Command Center of the Xiamen Maritime Safety Administration, this towing operation faced many challenges, including a long voyage, complex procedures, prolonged occupation of the navigation channel, dense traffic flow and complex navigable environment in the waters passed through, and significant influence from wind and current. The Xiamen Maritime Safety Administration implemented temporary traffic control over the towing waters, opened a green channel for the "Erhang Zhuoyue," set up a dedicated service desk, and promptly guided unrelated vessels away from the towing convoy; it dispatched two patrol vessels to escort the towing convoy and ensure the entire route remained unobstructed. At 15:45, the vessel safely arrived at the designated position in the construction waters.
