Recently, the Gansu Provincial Department of Transportation approved the construction drawings for the control engineering pilot sections of the G6 Beijing–Tibet Expressway Yinjiazhuang to Hekou section capacity expansion and reconstruction project and the G30 Lianyungang–Khorgos Expressway Jingjiakou to Qingshuiyi section capacity expansion and reconstruction project. This marks the successful completion of the preliminary and design work for both projects and represents important progress in the construction of Gansu's "three major new expressway corridors."
　　The control engineering pilot section of the G30 Lianyungang–Khorgos Expressway Jingjiakou to Qingshuiyi section capacity expansion and reconstruction project starts at Shuigouchuan Village, Chankou Town, and ends at Miaoping Village, Gancao Dian Town, with a total route length of 2.9 kilometers. It adopts the standard of reconstruction and expansion into a two-way, eight-lane expressway, with a design speed of 100 kilometers per hour. The control engineering pilot section of the G6 Beijing–Tibet Expressway Yinjiazhuang to Hekou section capacity expansion and reconstruction project, the Xianshui River Bridge, has a total length of 808 meters and adopts the standard of a two-way, six-lane expressway, with a design speed of 100 kilometers per hour.
　　The two projects approved this time are important node projects and important components of the "Gansu Central–Eastern New Corridor" among the "three major new expressway corridors." The implementation of the projects will substantially enhance the traffic capacity, service level, and safety assurance capacity of the Lanzhou transit sections of the two national expressways, further improve the convenience and accessibility of transportation in the Lanzhou area, help attract population agglomeration, and elevate the service capacity of the region. At the same time, it is of great significance for enhancing Lanzhou's role as a transportation hub, strengthening the supporting functions of cities and counties, supporting the building of a strong provincial capital, and promoting the formation of a new development pattern in the Lanzhou economic circle.
