On August 13, the right-line shield of the Jianlan Street Station–Jiutainan Station section of the Phase I project of Changchun Rail Transit Line 9 was successfully launched. The shield-driven section has a total length of 905 meters, marking the project's entry into a new stage of construction.

As a radial trunk line designed to guide Changchun in addressing east-west passenger flows, promote population migration and job relocation from the central urban area, and reduce traffic pressure in the central urban area, the Phase I project of Changchun Rail Transit Line 9 will, upon completion, connect with the eastward extension of Changchun Rail Transit Line 2, becoming an important corridor linking the airport with the main urban area. It will effectively connect Changchun's urban districts, the Lianhuashan Tourism Development Zone, Changchun New Area, and Jiutai District, and is of great significance for promoting the development of Changchun's eastern urban area and alleviating passenger flow pressure.
