Recently, construction on the Dapingshan Extra-Long Tunnel, one of the controlling projects of the Cangtai Expressway, began excavation, marking that the longest tunnel on this expressway has fully entered the construction phase and will effectively accelerate the construction progress of the entire line. It is reported that this tunnel is also currently the longest tunnel under construction among highways in Zhejiang Province.

The Dapingshan Extra-Long Tunnel starts in Dailing Village, Dailing She Ethnic Township, Cangnan, and ends in Yifan Village, Fanshan Town, Cangnan, with a total length of 7,305 meters. The tunnel is a separated tunnel, featuring 9 vehicular cross passages, 21 pedestrian cross passages, 20 emergency parking bays, and 1 shaft, with a planned construction period of 38 months.

It is understood that the Cangtai Expressway is an important "link" in the province's "nine vertical, nine horizontal, five ring, five corridor, multi-connection" layout, and also an important component of Wenzhou's "two rings, twelve radials" expressway network.
