Project Overview

The Guohua Bozhong B2 offshore wind project is the first offshore wind project jointly undertaken by the Third Harbor Engineering Bureau and China Energy Investment Corporation in Shandong. The project mainly involves the construction of 59 offshore wind turbines, one offshore booster station, 35kV array submarine cables, 220kV export submarine cables, and an onshore central control center. The Yongan Machinery YC-150 circular offshore hydraulic impact hammer was deployed on this project, working day and night for over 50 hours of pile driving with more than 15,000 hammer blows, ultimately driving four steel pipe piles of 2.4 m diameter and 98.8 m length more than 80 m into the ground, successfully completing the pile driving task. The high reliability of the domestically produced offshore pile driving hammer and the dedication of the Yongan team won unanimous praise from the project department!‍

The foundation construction of the offshore booster station is one of the most critical milestone targets of the project. The foundation adopts a skirt-pile sleeve-type four-pile jacket structure, with geological conditions consisting of silty clay and silty sand layers. The construction was undertaken by Huaxi Village Offshore Engineering Service Co., Ltd. To ensure high-quality and efficient single-pile construction, Yongan Machinery held multiple discussions with Huaxi Offshore Engineering on equipment selection and scheme verification, and ultimately the Yongan Machinery YC-150 circular offshore hydraulic pile driving hammer was selected, laying a solid foundation for completing the pile sinking work and the construction of the wind farm.

The Yongan Machinery YC-150 hydraulic impact hammer has an impact energy of 2550 kNm, a working stroke of 1.7 m, a maximum impact frequency of 55 bpm, and a hammer core mass of 150,000 kg. Pile caps of different diameters can be customized according to customer requirements to meet the needs of various construction projects. It is equipped with two 2600P power packs. The YC-150 adopts an offshore circular hammer shell process; the circular hammer shell effectively reduces air resistance during the fall of the hammer core and increases the impact force during pile driving. The lubrication structure of the impact hammer reduces friction of the hammer core during pile driving. The pile cap cushion, new-style impact hammer pile frame handrails, and turning equipment make the impact hammer suitable for different pile driving vessels and greatly reduce construction preparation time.
