Anhui Section of Hefei-Xinyi High-Speed Railway Fully Approved

The Anhui section of the Hefei-Xinyi High-Speed Railway starts from Hefei City, passes through Dingyuan County and Mingguang City in Chuzhou City, Wuhe County in Bengbu City, and Si County in Suzhou City, and then enters Jiangsu Province. The Anhui section is about 207 kilometers long, with a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour, and has 7 stations: Si County East, Wuhe, Mingguang West, Dingyuan East, Badou, Taohuadian, and New Hefei West.

Recently, the construction land for the Hefei section of the Hefei-Xinyi High-Speed Railway was approved by the state. At this point, the construction land for the entire Anhui section of the Hefei-Xinyi High-Speed Railway has been fully approved, laying the foundation for subsequent construction. After the line opens to traffic, it will greatly shorten the space-time distance between the Hefei area and northern Jiangsu and the Shandong Peninsula, and will play an important role in promoting the high-quality development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt and the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta.‍

Chizhou-Huangshan High-Speed Railway Completes Main Subgrade Works

The Chizhou-Huangshan High-Speed Railway is located in southern Anhui Province. The line starts from Chizhou City and ends at Huangshan City, with a total length of about 125 kilometers and a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour. It has 5 stations along the route: Chizhou, Jiuhuashan, Huangshan West, Yixian East, and Huangshan North.

At present, the Chizhou-Huangshan High-Speed Railway has completed the main subgrade works, 7 of 8 tunnels have been holed through, 81% of bridge precasting has been completed and 65% of bridge erection has been completed, laying a solid foundation for the opening of the line. Not long ago, the first pole of the overhead contact system for the Chizhou-Huangshan High-Speed Railway was successfully erected, marking the full launch of the 'four-electric' works of the Chizhou-Huangshan High-Speed Railway and the entry of the entire line into the stage of cross-construction of pre-station and post-station works. After the line is completed and opened to traffic, it will become a golden tourist route connecting the core scenic areas of 'two mountains and one lake' (Jiuhuashan, Huangshan, and Taiping Lake) in southern Anhui.‍

Jiangbei Section of Chaohu-Ma'anshan Intercity Railway Fully Started

Recently, construction of the Jiangbei section of the Chaohu-Ma'anshan Intercity Railway officially started, marking the entry of both the north and south banks of the Yangtze River of the Chaohu-Ma'anshan Intercity Railway into the full-line construction stage.

The main line of the Chaohu-Ma'anshan Intercity Railway is 61 kilometers long, with a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour, of which the Jiangbei section has about 47 kilometers of newly built main line. The line starts from Chaohu East Station on the Hefei-Hangzhou High-Speed Railway and ends at Ma'anshan East Station, with 5 stations along the route: Chaohu East, Hanshan, Zhengpugang, Ma'anshan South, and Ma'anshan East. The Chaohu-Ma'anshan Intercity Railway is being advanced in two sections, north and south of the Yangtze River. The Jiangnan section (including the Ma'anshan Yangtze River Road-Rail Bridge) officially started construction in May 2021.

The Chaohu-Ma'anshan Intercity Railway connects to the Hefei-Hangzhou High-Speed Railway in the north and the South Yanjiang Intercity Railway in the east. It is both a direct link between Ma'anshan and the provincial capital Hefei and a new high-speed rail corridor from Anhui to Shanghai and other Yangtze River Delta cities.‍

Fuyang-Huainan Railway Launches Full-Scale Construction

Recently, the bored piles of the Fuyang Quanhe Grand Bridge and the PHC prestressed pipe piles of the Mengcheng Grand Bridge on the Fuyang-Huainan Railway were officially launched, marking the entry of the Fuyang-Huainan Railway project into full-scale construction.

The Fuyang-Huainan Railway is located in northern Anhui and passes through the four cities of Fuyang, Bozhou, Suzhou, and Huaibei. It has 4 stations along the route: Fuyang West, Lixin, Mengcheng, and Shuangduiji. The newly built main line is 142.5 kilometers long, with a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour, a total investment of 23.6 billion yuan, and a planned construction period of three and a half years. According to reports, the Quanhe Grand Bridge and the Mengcheng Grand Bridge are both key projects of the Fuyang-Huainan Railway.

The Fuyang-Huainan Intercity Railway is a high-speed railway that mainly serves regional intercity functions while also taking into account network functions. After the Fuyang-Huainan Railway is completed, it will further improve the regional railway network layout and greatly facilitate travel for residents along the line. At the same time, it is of great significance for promoting the construction of industrial transfer cluster areas in northern Anhui, advancing the revitalization and development of northern Anhui, and better supporting national strategies such as the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta and the rise of the central region.‍

First Box Girder on the Huaibei-Suzhou-Bengbu Intercity Railway Successfully Erected

Not long ago, at the construction site of the Bengbu North Grand Bridge on the Huaibei-Suzhou-Bengbu Intercity Railway, the first simply supported girder, 32.6 meters long and weighing 790.25 tons, was accurately lifted into place by two girder-lifting machines working in tandem, announcing the successful erection of the first box girder on the entire line and marking the project's entry into the girder erection construction stage.

The Huaibei-Suzhou-Bengbu Intercity Railway is located in northern Anhui. The line leads out from Huaibei North Station on the Huaibei-Xiaoxian passenger train connection line, runs south through the three cities of Huaibei, Suzhou, and Bengbu, and connects to Bengbu South Station. The newly built main line is 162 kilometers long, with a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour. It has 6 stations along the route: Huaibei North, Huaibei West, Suzhou West, Shuangduiji, Guzhen South, and Bengbu South, among which Huaibei North Station and Bengbu South Station are existing stations. Among them, the Bengbu North Grand Bridge is 24.3 kilometers long and crosses the Beijing-Shanghai Railway and the Huaihong New River. It is one of the key projects of the Huaibei-Suzhou-Bengbu Intercity Railway.

After the Huaibei-Suzhou-Bengbu Intercity Railway is completed, it will become a convenient corridor connecting the northern Anhui city cluster with the Hefei metropolitan area and the Yangtze River Delta region. It is of great significance for improving the regional intercity rapid railway transportation network, improving the regional transportation environment, promoting exchanges among regional city clusters, and driving coordinated regional economic development.‍
