Chen Tingshan, a welder nearly 40 years old from Qingyuan, was concentrating on welding the steel cofferdam of the main bridge pier, and was soon sweating profusely. Since the start of the Longsheng Bridge project, Chen Tingshan has lost count of how many holidays he has spent on the construction site. "Although the construction task is relatively heavy, the Longsheng Bridge project can greatly alleviate the traffic congestion of the Dongjiang Bridge and the problem of 'difficulty in crossing the river' for citizens on both sides. We can contribute to the development of Huizhou, and it is worth the hard work."

　　The Longsheng Bridge and connecting road project spanning the Dongjiang River, composed of the main bridge, Yunshan East Road Interchange, Renmin Road, Jiangdong No.1 Road, etc., is a key livelihood municipal construction project in our city, and its construction progress has always touched the hearts of the general public. The relevant person in charge of the Municipal Public Utilities Administration introduced that the Longsheng Bridge officially started water operations in July last year and entered the pile foundation construction stage of the main span piers in August. Up to now, a cumulative investment of about 220 million yuan has been completed, accounting for 13.6% of the total investment. The construction of 208 pile foundations and 11 caps has been completed. It is planned to complete the underwater pile foundation construction of the main bridge of Longsheng Bridge before the Spring Festival this year, and strive to complete the main bridge pile foundation project by the end of March.

　　It is reported that Longsheng Bridge is one of the important bridges across the Dongjiang River in the urban area, with a planned total length of about 1,300 meters and a width of 31 meters, designed as a two-way eight-lane road. After the bridge is completed, it will greatly alleviate the traffic congestion of the Dongjiang Bridge and the problem of "difficulty in crossing the river" for citizens on both sides. The Yunshan East Road Interchange, as well as the two urban main roads Renmin Road and Jiangdong No.1 Road, which are built simultaneously, will connect with Huizhou Avenue and the eastern section of the Third Ring Road. At that time, citizens can go directly from Yunshan East Road and Huimin Avenue in Jiangbei to Dongping, Shuikou and other places via Longsheng Bridge. Jiangbei and Jiangdong areas will be connected as one, greatly promoting the development of both places.
