Examining Future Development Trends in Civil Engineering from the Perspective of Global Engineering Frontiers
To assess development trends at the frontiers of engineering science and technology and to keenly identify new directions of the technological revolution, the Chinese Academy of Engineering and others jointly released the "Global Engineering Frontiers 2023" report, which distills 187 global engineering items and assesses the development directions and trends of key engineering frontiers over the next 5 to 10 years. Among these, engineering frontiers are divided into engineering research frontiers, which emphasize theoretical exploration, and engineering development frontiers, which emphasize practical application.
