Right Tube Excavation of Chenjiapingzi Tunnel on Lu-Qiao Expressway Exceeds 1,000 Meters

On June 1, excavation of the right tube at the entrance of the Chenjiapingzi Tunnel on the expressway from Ludian County to Qiaojia County in Zhaotong City surpassed 1,000 meters, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent breakthrough of the tunnel. The contract section undertaken by the Civil Engineering Division 4 of the Lu-Qiao Expressway project contains a total of 10 single-tube tunnels with a combined length of 17,963 meters. The right tube of the Chenjiapingzi Tunnel has a total length of 1,927 meters; the tunnel's geological conditions are complex, construction is difficult, and technical requirements are high. In particular, where tunnel construction reached the 800–950 meter section, the surrounding rock was relatively fractured and serious block falling occurred at the crown. The project department organized scientifically and carried out standardized construction; based on actual site conditions, it adopted measures such as short advance, weak blasting, strong support, and early ring closure.

Construction of the Changtang Reservoir Project in Guilin, Guangxi Begins

Construction of the Changtang Reservoir Project in Guilin, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, recently commenced. The project has been incorporated into the National 14th Five-Year Plan and the Outline of the 2035 Long-Range Objectives, as well as the National 14th Five-Year Plan for Water Security.
