Severe Rainfall Hits Coastal Guangxi, Multiple Schools Suspended
In the early hours of May 10, coastal Guangxi was hit by severe rainfall, with multiple areas of Qinzhou urban district experiencing waterlogging. The local meteorological department continued to issue a red warning signal for torrential rain, and multiple schools suspended classes due to the impact of the downpour. At 7:11 a.m. that day, at the intersection of the Nongken Cold Storage Factory in Qinbei District, Qinzhou City, a member of the public was trapped on the roof of a vehicle due to flooding. The Qinzhou Fire and Rescue Detachment immediately dispatched the Zicai Fire and Rescue Station, with one emergency rescue formation, two fire engines, two rubber boats, and ten fire and rescue personnel rushing to the scene for rescue operations. At 7:45 a.m., the trapped person was successfully transferred and evacuated to a safe area, with no casualties reported.
