On September 20, the concrete pouring for the first tower foundation of the Zambia Kafue West–Muzuma 330kV Transmission Line Project (tower section 01#–423#) was successfully completed, marking the official start of civil construction on this line and achieving a promising milestone for the project.

Since the project preparation stage, the project department has adhered to overall planning and forward command, giving full play to its organizational and leadership role and embodying the spirit of responsibility expressed in the motto "Success need not be attributed to me, but success must include me." Facing complex overseas working conditions—including poor laterite geological conditions, concentrated rainfall during the rainy season, long cross-border material transportation cycles, and difficult local coordination—the project leadership team anchored to the rigid milestone of civil construction commencement on September 20, 2026, deployed forward, made scientific personnel arrangements, coordinated resources from all parties in the consortium, refined the phased flow construction plan, and solidified management responsibilities at every position, laying a solid organizational foundation for this first foundation pour.

On the road of overcoming difficulties, everyone worked together to fulfill the mission. All Chinese management personnel, technical backbone staff, and local workers of the project united with one heart and pooled their strength. From site survey and verification, review of the first foundation construction plan, and technical and safety briefings, to foundation pit excavation, formwork support, raw material inspection, concrete mixing, pouring and vibration, and curing control, every procedure was strictly executed in accordance with specifications and standards. Everyone overcame many difficulties, including cross-border equipment entry, harsh field working conditions, and language and cultural differences, refined the construction organization day and night, strictly controlled safety risks and physical quality, and completed the first foundation pouring task to high standards with a rigorous and pragmatic style, creating a process model and setting a construction benchmark for the subsequent foundation construction of the entire line from 02# to 423#.

The successful completion of the first foundation pour is a phased achievement of all project personnel's concerted efforts and courage to achieve outstanding results. The project department will continue to maintain an energetic and enterprising construction posture, continue to leverage organizational advantages, and coordinate the advancement of subsequent procedures including civil construction, tower erection, and conductor stringing along the entire line.
