On September 14, Section 7 of the Fenghuang Yellow River Bridge South Extension Project undertaken by China Construction Eighth Engineering Division (CSCEC 8th Bureau) completed all pile foundation construction work. With the pile foundation works in Section 7 fully concluded, the project has moved into the construction phase for substructure and bridge deck systems, creating conditions for the subsequent construction of pile caps, piers and the main bridge structure. The Fenghuang Yellow River Bridge South Extension Project is a major project in Shandong Province and a key north-south artery in Jinan's "Eight Horizontal and Eight Vertical" expressway network. It starts from the Airport Expressway in the north and connects to Erhuan South Road in the south, with a total length of 25.4 kilometers.

Pile foundations are a fundamental component of bridge engineering, and their construction quality is directly related to the structural safety of the entire line. Since the start of construction, Section 7 has coordinated the deployment of pile foundation equipment, carried out continuous construction across multiple work faces, strictly controlled key processes such as hole formation, rebar cage lowering and concrete pouring, and simultaneously strengthened quality inspections and safety briefings, completing the full pile foundation construction task on schedule.

It is reported that the Fenghuang Yellow River Bridge South Extension Project is expected to be completed and opened to traffic in 2027. Once completed, it will further shorten commuting times across the Yellow River, strengthen connectivity between the main urban area and the start-up area, and be of great significance for improving Jinan's expressway network and promoting coordinated regional development.
