The project's advance works have been fully launched, and the main structures such as bridges and tunnels have officially entered a new stage of substantive construction. The project office is accelerating the special approval for the Chaohu Scenic and Historic Area and the land assembly and approval submission work. Under the premise of strictly observing the ecological red line and the safety production bottom line, it is safeguarding project construction with high-quality control. At present, the Dingjiagang Grand Bridge and Xia'ge Town Grand Bridge in Section 01 are undergoing pile foundation, pier column and bent cap construction; the Taoyuan Tunnel and Lianmeng Tunnel in Section 04 are comprehensively advancing excavation, support and secondary lining construction, while the lower structure of the Baikouhe Grand Bridge is being advanced in parallel. The precast beam yard has been put into production, and all processes are connected efficiently and smoothly.

The project starts within the territory of Xia'ge Town, Chaohu City, connecting smoothly with the already-built Mingchao Expressway, and ends on the north side of the Shijian Service Area, connecting with the already-built G4221 Shanghai-Wuhan Expressway. The route length is about 30.53 kilometers. Upon completion, it will be of great significance for implementing the national strategy of Yangtze River Delta regional integration, supporting the province's new development pattern, accelerating the development needs of the "two circles, two belts and one cluster" urban spatial system, and serving the industrial development along the Chaohu route.
