During the "15th Five-Year Plan" period, our province will accelerate the construction of natural gas infrastructure to ensure a stable supply of natural gas and support industrial development across the province, providing important support for building a strong province of green energy.

During the "15th Five-Year Plan" period, our province will promote the development of Yunnan's natural gas market into a pattern featuring internal and external connectivity, low-carbon efficiency, and safety and controllability. With the goal of ensuring a stable supply of natural gas and industrial development across the province, and supported by ensuring the safe and stable operation of the China-Myanmar natural gas pipeline, strengthening the planning and construction of natural gas infrastructure, and improving the level of natural gas supply capacity, we will promote development, stabilize investment, and guarantee supply, so that the people can gain more benefits, and provide important support and a strong guarantee for building a strong province of green energy.

Our province will actively advance the construction of inter-provincial trunk natural gas pipelines such as "Sea Gas into Yunnan" and "Sichuan Gas into Yunnan" as well as intra-provincial natural gas branch lines, further optimize the backbone pipeline network structure, improve trunk line functions, strengthen pipeline network connectivity, increase pipeline network coverage, enhance pipeline network transmission, storage and transportation, dispatch, and guarantee capabilities, and build an intensive and efficient natural gas transportation network. By 2030, a "two horizontal and five vertical" natural gas pipeline network structure with the China-Myanmar natural gas pipeline as the main axis will be formed, with the province's natural gas pipelines reaching 4,000 kilometers.

Our province will focus on accelerating the construction of the Guangxi LNG export pipeline duplicate line (Baise-Wenshan) project and actively promote the preliminary work of the "Sichuan Gas into Yunnan" project; centering on the China-Myanmar natural gas pipeline and the Guangxi LNG export pipeline duplicate line (Baise-Wenshan) project, we will strengthen the construction of intra-provincial branch lines in Funing, Yanshan, Yao'an, Dayao, and other places to further improve county-level natural gas guarantee capacity. In line with the needs of industrial parks, key industries, and power generation users in the province, we will promote the construction of terminal branch pipelines oriented to major parks, key townships, and larger gas-use markets, and open up the "last kilometer" of the transmission and distribution system. We will accelerate the pace of fair and open access to the pipeline network, strive to ensure that pipeline station openings are opened whenever possible, resolve gas-use bottlenecks, and reduce pipeline transportation costs. Following the principle of "pipeline where suitable, tank where suitable," we will support remote areas in adapting to local conditions and supplying natural gas through skid-mounted stations, LNG tank container multimodal transport, and other methods.

According to reports, our province has cumulatively built 3,549 kilometers of natural gas pipelines, covering 12 prefectures (cities); 56 counties have access to pipeline natural gas, and the county-level coverage rate of natural gas pipelines is 43%.
