On July 27, the inauguration ceremony of XCMG's Indonesia New Energy Manufacturing Base was held at the Indonesia Weda Bay Industrial Park (IWIP). With the first batch of new energy equipment officially rolling off the production line and being delivered to strategic partner Tsingshan Holding Group's Indonesia Weda Bay Industrial Park, this marks the official commissioning of XCMG's first overseas new energy factory.

The XC968-EV pure electric loader rolled off the line this time is equipped with an integrated dual-motor drive system. Compared with diesel-powered equipment of the same tonnage, its operating cost can be reduced by about 78% and its maintenance cost by about 60%, with a single unit cutting carbon dioxide emissions by about 150 tons per year, helping it fully meet the needs of green mine and low-carbon park construction in Indonesia.

The XCMG Indonesia New Energy Manufacturing Base integrates complete machine manufacturing, application-specific R&D, and localized services, significantly shortening delivery cycles and precisely serving diverse scenarios such as Indonesian mining, infrastructure, and park logistics. In terms of green development, the base focuses on two major directions: new energy equipment substitution and circular economy development. Relying on localized manufacturing capacity, it supplies electric construction machinery products at scale to empower and enhance the low-carbon transformation of key industries in Indonesia; at the same time, it is building a used equipment recycling operation and a parts remanufacturing system to maximize the efficiency of industrial resource utilization.

2026 is the opening year of the 15th Five-Year Plan, and XCMG is accelerating its transformation toward the "five orientations" of high-end, intelligent, green, global, and service-oriented development, with global operations and green industry as its two main strategic priorities. The Indonesia New Energy Manufacturing Base is a key move in the deep integration of these two strategies.

"The rollout and delivery of this first batch of new energy equipment is a benchmark example of two-way empowerment through 'technology + scenarios' and 'manufacturing + markets' between XCMG and Tsingshan Holding Group's Indonesia Weda Bay Industrial Park," XCMG said. XCMG has deep expertise in new energy intelligent manufacturing of construction machinery, while Weda Bay Industrial Park has a mature industrial ecosystem and broad application scenarios. Since signing the agreement, the two sides completed plant construction and achieved smooth production in the shortest possible time, reshaping the model of Chinese enterprises going global together through cross-sector collaboration and achieving a "1+1>2" synergy.

In fact, XCMG has been deeply engaged in the Indonesian market for more than 30 years and has built a comprehensive localized operating and service system there. Currently, local employees account for nearly 80% of XCMG's Indonesia region, as the company continues to expand local jobs and cultivate a local skilled talent pool.XCMG has previously established a well-developed sales and service network in Indonesia, deployed more than 100 professional service vehicles, and implemented a three-tier spare parts operation and maintenance system to ensure the reliable operation of more than 30,000 XCMG machines in the country, laying a solid foundation for the regular operation of the new energy factory.

In addition, with the commissioning of the new energy manufacturing plant, XCMG Indonesia's integrated industrial chain covering "R&D, production, supply, sales, service, and finance" has achieved a closed loop, and locally manufactured new energy equipment has become an important pillar for the high-quality development of local green infrastructure. XCMG said that, standing at the new starting point of the 15th Five-Year Plan, it will use the Indonesia New Energy Manufacturing Base to create a benchmark model of XCMG's overseas "intelligent manufacturing," and while upholding technological innovation as its core engine, it will deepen the localized collaborative co-construction model and deliver "XCMG solutions" to customers worldwide.
