On July 14, 2026, the Phase III reconstruction and expansion project of Dali Airport reached a major milestone—the first test pile for Terminal 3 (T3) was officially drilled. As the roar of machinery echoed across the construction site, test pile construction was officially launched, marking the project's transition from the preliminary preparation stage to main structure construction.

The Phase III reconstruction and expansion of Dali Airport is a key civil aviation infrastructure project of Yunnan Province under the 14th Five-Year Plan, with a total investment of approximately 2.458 billion yuan. It officially commenced in December 2023 and is planned to be completed and put into operation by the end of 2028. The test pile construction for Terminal 3 is a key milestone in the project's shift from preliminary preparation and site leveling to main structure construction. The test pile work will comprehensively verify the geological conditions of the site area and optimize pile foundation construction techniques and technical parameters, laying a solid quality and safety foundation for subsequent large-scale pile foundation construction and main structure development.

The smooth commencement of drilling for this test pile is not only an important milestone in the project's advancement but also the result of coordinated efforts by all participating units. Next, all participating units will take the test pile as a starting point, closely align with the annual construction goals, coordinate the four core tasks of safety, quality, schedule, and environmental protection, scientifically optimize construction organization, and advance pile foundation, foundation pit, and main structure construction to high standards, making every effort to ensure that Terminal 3 is completed and put into operation on schedule and with high quality.
