On July 13, the first pile foundation of the Namo Bridge in the Nanning-Tanluo section of the G80 Guangzhou-Kunming Expressway Nanning-Baise section reconstruction and expansion project, won by the consortium of CCCC Road & Bridge Construction South China Company, was successfully poured. This breakthrough at a key milestone marks the project's formal entry into the main construction phase, laying a solid foundation for the comprehensive advancement of subsequent works.

The G80 Guangzhou-Kunming Expressway Nanning-Baise section reconstruction and expansion project has a total route length of 192.62 kilometers, starting approximately 3 kilometers west of the Shibubei interchange and ending approximately 2 kilometers west of the Sitang interchange. The consortium of CCCC Road & Bridge Construction South China Company won the bid for the Nanning-Tanluo section, with a total length of 15.57 kilometers. The project mainly involves widening on both sides, with local new construction, a design speed of 120 kilometers per hour, and a subgrade width of 42 meters. The main construction content includes bridges, subgrades, culverts, interchanges, and other structures. Its controlling project, the Namo Bridge, is located in Jinling Town, Long'an County, Nanning City, spanning the Youjiang River. The bridge has a total length of 586 meters, and the main bridge adopts a 245-meter-span through-type concrete-filled steel tubular tied-arch bridge.
The main bridge of the Namo Grand Bridge adopts a bored cast-in-place pile plus integral pile cap structure, with 8 bored cast-in-place piles of 2.5 meters in diameter under each single pile cap, and an average pile length of approximately 20 meters. The first pile foundation construction this time selected the pile foundation of main pier No. 9, which is an end-bearing pile with a designed pile diameter of 2.5 meters and a total pouring volume of approximately 100 cubic meters. To ensure the construction of the main pier pile foundation of the Namo Grand Bridge as the first works, the project team optimized the construction plan based on actual site conditions, conducted technical briefings, strictly controlled processes such as pile drilling, reinforcement cage installation, and concrete pouring, coordinated the deployment of machinery and personnel, seized construction milestones, and successfully completed the construction of the first pile foundation.
The G80 Guangzhou-Kunming Expressway Nanning-Baise section is a major transportation artery in Guangxi connecting Yunnan and Guizhou and linking to the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. After the reconstruction and expansion of the project is completed, it will significantly improve the traffic efficiency of the main road network in western Guangxi, alleviate the long-term congestion problem of the Nanning-Baise section, fill the transportation shortcomings of the Baise revolutionary old area, and help improve the quality and efficiency of the infrastructure of the New Western Land-Sea Corridor in Guangxi.
