On June 2, at the construction site of Section 01 of the Yancheng-Yixing Railway undertaken by China Railway 24th Bureau Group in Yancheng, Jiangsu, the first continuous beam 0# block of the Qishancun Grand Bridge over the Zhangnianzhuang South River (48+80+48 meters) was successfully concreted, marking the official start of superstructure construction for the continuous beams in this section and laying a solid foundation for the rapid advancement of the project's main works.

Section 01 of the Yancheng-Yixing Railway station works has a total length of 25.682 kilometers, starting from Yancheng Station in the north and connecting to Xinghua City in the south. The section features dense bridges and heavy construction tasks. It contains 5 grand bridges, with a total of 8,780 pile foundations, 891 pile caps and pier columns. Bridge works are a major and difficult part of the entire line's construction. The 0# block poured this time is 12 meters long, 12.6 meters wide and 6.635 meters high. It is the core control segment and load-bearing base of the entire continuous beam. This structure directly governs the alignment and elevation accuracy of the beam body, bears on the overall stability and safety of the bridge, and is also a key process in continuous beam construction featuring complex techniques, strict standards and extremely high quality control requirements, playing a decisive benchmark role for subsequent cantilever construction.

The Nanjing Railway Hub Project Construction Command, the project construction management unit, together with the project department of China Railway 24th Bureau Group, optimized the construction plan in advance, investigated safety hazards and scientifically allocated resources to effectively ensure construction safety and quality. The smooth completion of this milestone effectively broke through the bottleneck in superstructure construction of the bridges in the section. Next, the project department will strictly implement the 'ten hard measures' for work safety, steadily advance construction tasks at each milestone, and make every effort to promote the safe, high-quality and efficient construction of the Yancheng-Yixing Railway project.

The Yancheng-Yixing High-Speed Railway starts from Yancheng Station on the Xuzhou-Yancheng High-Speed Railway, passes through Yancheng City, Taizhou City, Wuxi City, Changzhou City and Yixing City in Jiangsu Province, and connects to Yixing Station on the Nanjing-Hangzhou High-Speed Railway. The newly built main line is about 311 kilometers long, with 10 stations along the entire line. The design speed is 350 kilometers per hour for the Yancheng-Jingjiang section and the Taihu West-Yixing section, and 250 kilometers per hour for the Jingjiang-Taihu West section. After completion and operation, it will greatly facilitate travel for people along the line and is of great significance for improving the layout of the high-speed rail network in the Yangtze River Delta and Jiangsu, building a new fast river-crossing corridor, promoting integrated development of northern, central and southern Jiangsu, and supporting the high-quality integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta.
