On May 27, a major breakthrough was achieved in the construction of the Chang-Gan High-Speed Railway, a key component of the Yuxia Corridor of the national "Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal" high-speed rail network. The pile foundation of the main pier of the Ganjiang Railway Grand Bridge, a key control project along the entire line, has been completed, marking the bridge's transition into a new stage of main structure construction.

The Ganzhou Ganjiang Railway Grand Bridge of the Chang-Gan High-Speed Railway is located over the Ganjiang River in Zhanggong District, Ganzhou, Jiangxi Province. With a total length of 2,079 meters, a main bridge length of 572 meters and a maximum span of 300 meters, it is the longest-span bridge in the Jiangxi section of the Chang-Gan High-Speed Railway and a key control project along the entire line. On the 27th, with the completion of concrete pouring for the last pile foundation of the main pier, the bridge, which is the most difficult to construct along the entire line, successfully transitioned from underwater construction to the main structure construction stage above the bridge deck, laying the foundation for accelerating the construction of the entire Chang-Gan High-Speed Railway.
The Chang-Gan High-Speed Railway connects Changsha in Hunan Province and Ganzhou in Jiangxi Province and is a key component of the Yuxia Corridor of the national "Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal" high-speed rail network. It is expected to be ready for operation in 2030. Once the entire line is completed and opened to traffic, it will completely end the history of no high-speed rail access in Lianhua, Yongxin, Jinggangshan and Suichuan in Jiangxi Province. The travel time from Ganzhou to Changsha will be reduced from the current 4 hours to as fast as 1.5 hours, which is of great significance for promoting the revitalization of the former Central Soviet Area and advancing regional economic and social development. At present, construction of all sections of the Chang-Gan High-Speed Railway is progressing steadily as planned.
