On the 25th, the large intelligent deep-sea aquaculture platforms "Yunhai No. 1" and "Yunhai No. 2," located on the southwest side of Dongluo Island in Lianjiang, are under accelerated construction and are expected to be put into operation in December this year. This is a key project through which Lianjiang develops new quality productive forces tailored to local conditions and promotes the deep integration of the marine economy and the digital economy. It will further expand and improve the "blue granary" and help Fuzhou accelerate the building of a national marine economy development demonstration zone.

"The team has adopted a continuous operation mode to fully ensure early completion, early production, and early results," said Wang Wenqing, the project's technical director. As large intelligent equipment of the pile-supported truss type built to meet the needs of offshore and deep-sea aquaculture outside the bay, the project consists of two platforms, "Yunhai No. 1" and "Yunhai No. 2," about 6.5 kilometers from the shore, with a maximum water depth of 30 meters, a total aquaculture water volume of about 170,000 cubic meters, and a total cost of about 130 million yuan. Among them, "Yunhai No. 1" adopts a rectangular layout, 75 meters long and 62.6 meters wide, with an aquaculture water volume of about 70,000 cubic meters; "Yunhai No. 2" adopts a circular layout, with a circumference of 238 meters and an aquaculture water volume of about 100,000 cubic meters.

"The platforms mainly cultivate premium marine fish such as simulated wild large yellow croaker, yellowtail amberjack, red sea bream, and golden pompano, with an annual output value of about 200 million yuan. Our core advantage is the dual guarantee of safety and stability," Wang Wenqing said. The two platforms adopt an innovative structure combining pile foundation support with an upper truss steel structure. This not only lowers costs and occupies less sea area, but can also withstand super typhoons of Level 15. Even in extreme weather, the facility damage rate and aquaculture stock loss rate can be kept within 10%, effectively solving the pain points of traditional offshore cages, such as weak risk resistance and high susceptibility to weather.
