Since the beginning of this year, construction of the North Section of the S03 Tianshui Ring Expressway has advanced steadily and rapidly. All contract sections have seized the golden construction period, with tunnel excavation, bridge pile foundations and other key works progressing in parallel, driving the project forward at "accelerated speed" through solid effort.

　　The project is nearly 30 kilometers long and is one of the six ring expressway routes in the province. It is also the second expressway corridor for the Lianyungang-Horgos and Pingliang-Mianyang expressways passing through Tianshui. Once completed, it will effectively connect multiple national expressways and inject strong momentum into the economic and social development of southeastern Gansu.

　　At the construction site of Shiling No. 1 Tunnel in Contract Section 1, various operations are proceeding in an orderly manner. The tunnel is 6,172 meters long and is a double-tube separated extra-long rock tunnel with a maximum burial depth of 327 meters, supported by a 798.5-meter inclined shaft. At present, the portal arch and pipe roof construction have been fully completed, laying a solid foundation for tunnel excavation. Within the contract section, the steel reinforcement processing yard, precast beam yard, mixing station and laboratory have all been built and put into use, enabling centralized material control and unified allocation and greatly improving the level of intensive and standardized construction.

　　Contract Section 4, constructed by Guizhou Road & Bridge Group Co., Ltd., has a route length of 7.512 kilometers, with 17 bridges and 1 tunnel along the alignment. This section is highly challenging, containing 5 railway-related works, including underpassing the Baoji-Lanzhou Passenger Dedicated Line and the Longhai Railway and overpassing the Longhai Railway. Pile foundation construction for the Wangxincun Bridge is currently being intensified. The bridge is 768 meters long and is a 19-span simply supported girder bridge with 40-meter spans. A total of 10 pile foundations have been poured, with all pile foundation construction planned for completion by the end of December and the superstructure box girder works scheduled for completion in April 2028. The Lujiashan Tunnel exit and Caojiacun Bridge will also add work faces and start construction by the end of July.

　　The North Section of the S03 Tianshui Ring Expressway starts at Shiling Village, Shetang Town, Maiji District, connecting with the S25 Jingning-Tianshui Expressway, and ends at Maojizhai, Weinan Town, linking with the G8513 Pingliang-Mianyang Expressway. The main line is 29.463 kilometers long and is built to a two-way four-lane standard with a design speed of 80 kilometers per hour. Fixed asset investment of 502 million yuan has been completed to date.
