近日，项目西堠门公铁大桥5号墩大里程侧墩旁托架吊装施工完成。此外，由中铁十一局自主研发的世界首套“三元混合气”盾构带压作业装备，正式应用于世界最长海底高铁隧道——甬舟铁路金塘海底隧道（金塘海底隧道是甬舟铁路控制性工程）。
甬舟铁路起自宁波东站，终于舟山站，长76.4公里，沿途设邱隘站、北仑西站、金塘站、马岙站，设计时速250公里。项目建成后，将结束舟山市不通铁路的历史，对促进宁波舟山一体化发展、支撑义甬舟开放大通道建设等具有重要意义。
