Hangzhou Metro construction has made new progress! On April 3, the "Qinlong No. 31" shield tunneling machine was successfully launched on the left line of the section from Longteng Street Station to Zhanjiaqiao Road Station of the SG15-15 bid of Hangzhou Metro Line 15, constructed by China Railway Seventh Group. This marks that the project has fully entered the shield tunneling stage.

It is understood that the SG15-15 bid of the Phase I project of Line 15 includes two stations and two sections, namely Kangqiao Station, Longteng Street Station, the section from Kangqiao Station to Longteng Street Station, and the section from Longteng Street Station to Zhanjiaqiao Road Station. The project will strengthen rail transit coverage in core areas, strongly support the development of key urban construction areas, and improve travel conditions for residents in densely populated areas.

It is understood that the shield tunneling machine launched this time will bore from the large-mileage end of Longteng Street Station toward Zhanjiaqiao Station. The left line of the section is 801.2 meters long and involves more than ten major risk sources. At the same time, because the project is located on a major traffic artery in the urban core area with dense traffic and is close to residential areas, tunneling must also overcome technical challenges such as cutting through eight pile-slab structural foundation piles under the road beneath the Nanjing-Hangzhou high-speed railway. The construction is highly difficult and carries significant safety risks.

To effectively ensure the smooth launch of the shield and subsequent safe and efficient tunneling, the project team used a smart construction site management platform to achieve full-process digital monitoring. Together with monitoring points arranged along the route, measures such as advanced geological forecasting, reinforcement, multi-level grouting, and muck conditioning, they built a comprehensive monitoring and early-warning system to firmly establish a technical safety defense line.

In the future, during the subsequent tunneling process, the project department will continue to prioritize safety and quality, precisely and strictly control construction parameters, strengthen monitoring, early warning, and closed-loop risk control, and make every effort to ensure safe, stable, and efficient tunnel advancement, striving to achieve the breakthrough milestone.
