On March 15, at the site of the Zhaowuda Road and South Second Ring Interchange Project in Hohhot, workers were carrying out construction in an orderly manner, presenting a busy scene.

　　"The Zhaowuda Road and South Second Ring Interchange Project fully and orderly resumed construction on March 11. After completion, there will be a three-level interchange where traffic from any direction can be converted to the other three directions, and the temporary on/off ramp at Baotou Street will be removed," said Fan Yu, a staff member of the Engineering Section of the Hohhot Municipal Construction Service Center. At present, all work has been smoothly launched, and all participating units will strictly follow the schedule, actively organize construction, ensure steady progress in project schedule and quality, and strive to complete the project by the end of this year.

　　It is understood that the Zhaowuda Road and South Second Ring Interchange is located at the intersection of Zhaowuda Road and the South Second Ring Expressway. The interchange project has a total of 10 ramps, including eight turning ramps in four directions and two east-west through auxiliary ramps. In 2025, 201 piles of the pile foundation works have been completed; 33 pile caps have been completed; 32 pier columns have been completed; and rebar tying for one unit of cast-in-place beam has been completed.

　　To ensure the smooth progress of the project according to plan, in the early hours of March 16, closure construction will be carried out at the on/off ramp entrances of the Zhaowuda Expressway at Baotou Street, and demolition of the auxiliary road will be carried out simultaneously. This step will effectively release the construction work face and create favorable conditions for the subsequent main bridge construction and traffic organization conversion, thereby ensuring that the overall project is completed on time, safely, and with high quality.
