Recently, at the construction site in Jianying Village, Guali Town, Xiaoshan District, as the first pile foundation equipment was successfully mobilized into position and completed trial pile work, the Xiaoshan Guali Water Treatment Plant Project has fully entered the main construction phase and officially commenced construction.

It is understood that the project has been included in the first batch of major project lists for the 2026 implementation plan of Zhejiang Province's "Thousand Projects, Trillion Yuan" initiative to expand effective investment. It is a key project for improving the water supply guarantee system and enhancing water supply safety capacity in Xiaoshan District, Hangzhou.

According to reports, the Guali Water Treatment Plant Project is being built under a "single planning, phased implementation" model, with a total designed water supply capacity of 600,000 cubic meters per day. The first phase, which is the first to commence construction, has a capacity of 300,000 cubic meters per day, a total estimated investment of 1.034 billion yuan, and a total floor area of approximately 22,300 square meters. It is expected to be completed and put into operation by the end of 2028.

The project adopts an advanced treatment process of "pre-ozonation—coagulation and sedimentation—sand filtration—post-ozonation—activated carbon filtration," which can achieve stable treatment under varying water quality conditions and ensure that treated water consistently meets and exceeds the national Standards for Drinking Water Quality, providing citizens with safe, stable, and high-quality drinking water.

Once completed, the Guali Water Treatment Plant will mainly supply water to seven towns and subdistricts in eastern Xiaoshan District—Guali, Yaqian, Dangwan, Yinong, Ningwei, Yingfeng, and Xinjie—further improving the regional water supply layout and significantly enhancing water supply security. In particular, for some industrial parks located at the end of the pipe network, water supply pressure will be significantly improved, boosting Xiaoshan's industrial transformation and upgrading as well as high-quality economic and social development.
