As a key transportation project in the construction of the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle, the Suining–Chongqing Expressway (Sichuan Section) expansion project is an important corridor connecting Sichuan and Chongqing and is of great significance to promoting regional coordinated development. The ZCB2 contract section, undertaken by the Road and Bridge Company of China MCC19, starts at the Fuqiao Interchange and ends at Shufangba at the Sichuan-Chongqing provincial boundary, with a total route length of 23.85 kilometers. The construction scope covers five core works: subgrade, bridges and culverts, pavement, traffic safety facilities, and landscaping, along with the simultaneous construction of two new hub interchanges, the expansion of two interchange junctions, and one supporting service area. The project is built to the standard of a two-way, eight-lane expressway with a design speed of 100 kilometers per hour. Once completed, it will greatly enhance the capacity and service level of the Suining–Chongqing corridor and effectively ease traffic pressure on the existing expressway.

Since construction began, the Suining–Chongqing Expressway expansion project has consistently adhered to high-standard positioning and high-quality advancement, achieving remarkable results in project construction.

Up to now, the project has completed output value equivalent to 23% of the total contract amount, with subgrade earthwork at 50%, bridge substructure at 40%, and superstructure girder erection at 10%. All indicators are ahead of the scheduled progress, laying a solid foundation for the project to be completed and opened to traffic on schedule. Next, all construction personnel will continue to maintain a pioneering spirit, overcome difficulties, and work diligently to advance project construction and strive to open this "fast lane" for Sichuan-Chongqing coordinated development as soon as possible.
