On February 3, as the world's tallest pile frame was smoothly loaded onto the vessel "Tiejian Daqiao Zhuang 1" at the dock of the Nantong base of Jiangsu Dajin Heavy Industry, the two-day hoisting operation came to a successful conclusion. This marks a major milestone in the installation of the vessel's key core components and demonstrates China's leading strength in the manufacturing of high-end offshore engineering equipment.

The vessel "Tiejian Daqiao Zhuang 1" has an overall length of 130 meters, a pile frame height of 156 meters, and an operating water depth exceeding 70 meters. It can drive piles weighing up to 700 tonnes and 7 meters in diameter. It is currently the pile driving vessel with the tallest pile frame, the largest pile lifting capacity, and the deepest operating water depth in the world, and is also China's first pile driving vessel equipped with both a dynamic positioning system and three world-class performance indicators. The vessel also meets the pile driving requirements for international offshore, coastal, sheltered waters, and inland river Class A areas, and has unlimited navigation area deployment capability. It will be mainly used for construction operations on major projects such as bridges and offshore wind farms.

To ensure the safety and success of this highly difficult hoisting operation, the Nantong Maritime Safety Administration intervened in advance, guided the formulation of a safety assurance plan, clarified responsibilities and communication mechanisms, carried out on-site safety inspections, and urged the construction unit to fulfill its primary responsibility for work safety. By strengthening water area control and traffic organization, it effectively maintained navigational order in the operating area and ensured the safe and efficient coordinated operation of the large floating crane and auxiliary vessels.

The Nantong Maritime Safety Administration will continue to leverage its professional advantages, take the initiative to provide forward-looking services, and make every effort to ensure the safety of high-risk operations such as heavy-lift hoisting in its jurisdiction, thereby providing solid support for the construction of "Waterborne Jiangsu" and the implementation of Nantong's strategy of building itself into a strong maritime city.
