On January 27, with the completion of concrete pouring for the last bored pile, the pile foundation construction of the Aojiang Grand Bridge of the Fuzhou Port Rear Railway Project was successfully completed, and the project has now fully entered the construction stage of piers and abutments and the superstructure.

As a key control project of the entire line, the Aojiang Grand Bridge has a total length of 1,590.71 meters and is a single-track railway grand bridge. The bridge has a total of 35 piers and abutments, supported by 324 bored piles as foundations.

It is reported that the Fuzhou Port Rear Railway Project is the first railway in Fuzhou to be independently invested in, constructed and managed, with construction starting on November 22, 2022. The project is a newly built Class II railway (freight), with a total length of 72 kilometers and a design speed of 100 km/h. The railway line starts from Duwu Station in Minhou County in the west, connecting with the Xiangpu and Fengfu railways; connects in the east to Zhanglin Station of the Fuzhou hub in Jin'an District, linking with the Fuzhou-Xiamen high-speed railway; and extends northeast to Toubao Station in Lianjiang County, connecting with the Wenzhou-Fuzhou railway.

AsFujian Provinceone of the key projects in implementing the national initiative to strengthen and extend the comprehensive freight transport hub chain, the project, once completed, will improve the transport system of Fuzhou Port, build a transport corridor connecting the inland with rail-sea intermodal transport, open up the "last mile" of rail-sea intermodal transport for the Fuzhou Modern Logistics City, help the Fuzhou Modern Logistics City accelerate its progress toward the goals of becoming a logistics distribution center in the Southeast region, an important carrier of a national logistics hub, a bearing base for a logistics hub serving Taiwan, and a gateway to the Maritime Silk Road international logistics corridor, and contribute to Fuzhou's accelerated development into a modern international city.
