Recently, the K0+840~K1+500 section of the mainline subgrade of the Guiyang-Anshun Expansion Project Bid 1 (abbreviated as Gui'an Expansion Bid 1) of the Shanghai-Kunming National Expressway passed the completion acceptance, marking the full completion of the mainline foundation works of Gui'an Expansion Bid 1.

The starting point of Bid 1 of the Gui'an Expansion Project is located at the intersection of Binyang Avenue and Guanshan West Road, and ends at the starting point of Zhuchang Interchange at K5+310. The mainline has a total length of 5,130 meters and is built to the standard of a two-way, six-lane expressway with a subgrade width of 33.5 meters.

During the project construction, challenges such as complex geological conditions and high requirements for spoil disposal and environmental protection were encountered. In the excavation stage, a layered and segmented mode was adopted, combined with support technology, and dust and noise reduction measures such as spraying and fog cannons were strictly implemented, with spoil stacking standardized. The construction of the K1+387 overpass and the relocation of the mainline access road (village road) were also completed, which not only created a safe and convenient travel environment for local residents but also resolved multiple difficulties in construction.

It is reported that the Gui'an Expansion Project is jointly invested and constructed by shareholder units including Guizhou Expressway Group as the lead, Guizhou Highway Development Group, China Railway Investment Group, CCCC Construction Group, and China Railway Construction Corporation. With a total length of 90.722 kilometers, the project starts in Guanshanhu District of Guiyang City, connects with the completed Ring Expressway, and ends in Puding County of Anshun City, connecting with the Anpan Expressway (under construction). The entire line is built to expressway standards with a design speed of 100 km/h. Once completed, it will be the first smart expressway in Guizhou Province and is of great significance to Guizhou in accelerating the building of a western demonstration province for a strong transportation country, accelerating the construction of the Qianzhong Economic Zone, consolidating and expanding the achievements of poverty alleviation, boosting rural revitalization, and promoting the development of Gui'an New Area.
