Recently, the foundation pit support and earthwork project of the Shenzhen Second Eye Hospital project was completed, marking that this major livelihood project has officially entered the main structure construction stage.

The project covers a total land area of approximately 43,500 square meters, with a total gross floor area of nearly 100,000 square meters, and is planned to have 300 beds. As an important component of the "one hospital, two campuses" development strategy of Shenzhen Eye Hospital, the Second Eye Hospital will be managed in an integrated manner by Shenzhen Eye Hospital, achieving deep synergy and differentiated development in talent, technology, and resources.

Founded in 1983, Shenzhen Eye Hospital is the only Grade III-A municipal public specialized eye hospital in Shenzhen. The newly built Second Eye Hospital is located in Paibang Village, Silian Community, Henggang Subdistrict, Longgang District, Shenzhen, on the southeast side of the intersection of Hengxin Road and Kangda Road. It will adhere to the principle of "scientific positioning and benchmarking against first-class standards," focus on the characteristics of optometry, integrate medical treatment, teaching, research, and prevention functions, and better meet the eye health service needs of the entire population and the full life cycle in eastern Shenzhen.

The project design is guided by the concept of "Blooming Eye Brilliance, Born Toward the Light," adopting a "three-ring interplay" layout in which the medical ring, science and education ring, and shared ring are organically integrated. It also incorporates a three-dimensional all-weather circulation system with Lingnan characteristics and multi-level green rehabilitation spaces, exploring a new model for the construction of specialized eye hospitals. The building complex includes a science and education building, an inpatient building, an outpatient and medical technology podium, a multi-function hall, and supporting facilities, and the overall design follows the national two-star green building standard.
