The construction of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor has entered a critical period of in-depth advancement, and the municipality's key state-owned enterprises, as the "main force" of construction, are making precise efforts. On January 15, the Chongqing Municipal State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission released the "2026 Work Checklist for Municipal Key State-Owned Enterprises Serving the Construction of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor," drawing up a "road map" for serving the corridor's construction. Through measures such as improving the infrastructure network, enhancing logistics services, enriching the supply of financial products, developing corridor economy industries, strengthening people-to-people and cultural exchanges, building matchmaking platforms, and improving the quality and effectiveness of trade delegation visits, it will strive to help build a comprehensive inland opening-up hub.
In 2026, a batch of infrastructure projects concerning the corridor's "throat" will reach key milestones. Enterprises including Chongqing City Investment Group, Chongqing Expressway Group, and Chongqing Railway Group will go all out to complete investment in the Science City Tunnel project and accelerate the construction of key projects such as the Chengdu-Chongqing Expressway reconstruction and expansion. Key projects such as the Chongqing-Wanzhou High-Speed Railway and the Chongqing-Xi'an High-Speed Railway will advance according to schedule, and the Qianjiang-Jishou High-Speed Railway is expected to start construction within the year, helping Chongqing build a rapid railway network connecting neighboring provinces and Southeast Asia.
At the same time, state-owned enterprises are taking more steady steps to "go global." Minsheng Group will deepen its cultivation of the "Three Countries, Three Warehouses" (Thailand warehouse, Vietnam warehouse, and Laos warehouse). Building on the completion of the first phase of the Thailand warehouse, it will strive to achieve breakthrough progress in the construction of the Vietnam warehouse and create high-standard overseas demonstration warehouses, enabling "Chongqing services" to gain a firm foothold in international transit links. Jiangbei International Airport will also see a dense increase in international routes, striving to open or increase more than six international routes, further shortening the "air distance" between Chongqing and the world.
Infrastructure is the "skeleton," while logistics and industry are the "flesh and blood." According to the plan, the baseline target for cross-border road shuttle buses in 2026 is growth of more than 15%, and aviation international cargo and mail throughput is expected to exceed 230,000 tons. Chongqing Logistics Group will join hands with central state-owned enterprises to improve hub operation efficiency through smart upgrades and achieve "seamless connection" among various modes of transportation.
On the industrial side, Chongqing's state-owned enterprises are accelerating the deep integration of "Made in Chongqing" into global supply chains, continuously enhancing international market competitiveness through the export of technology and services. Qingling Group plans to build two new overseas assembly plants and push commercial vehicle export sales to a new high; Chongqing Water and Environment Group will implement waste-to-energy projects in ASEAN countries at a high level and export green development solutions. In addition, Chongqing's rail transit, chemical products, and even urban design services will collectively "go global," realizing the transformation from selling products to selling technology and standards.
To inject financial "living water" into corridor construction, Chongqing Yufu Holding Group will support industrial parks and advanced manufacturing along the route by establishing industrial funds. Financial institutions such as Bank of Chongqing and Chongqing Three Gorges Financing Guarantee Group will innovate products and strive to achieve year-on-year growth of more than 10% in financing scale under the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor.
In addition to trade exchanges, people-to-people and cultural exchanges are also a major focus. In 2026, Chongqing Culture and Tourism Group will leverage the 240-hour visa-free transit policy, deepen the "aviation + culture and tourism" model, strive for a 20% increase in inbound tourists, and tell China's story well through specialty products such as Yangtze River golden cruise ships. At the same time, the transportation vocational college affiliated with Chongqing City Transportation Development & Investment Group will build "Bayu Road and Bridge Workshops" to cultivate more local engineering talent who understand Chinese technology and Chinese standards for countries jointly building the Belt and Road Initiative. Chongqing Daily Newspaper Group, Chongqing Broadcasting Group, and Chongqing Xinhua Publishing Group will organize international exchange events such as the Land-Sea Finance Forum, create a batch of high-quality international communication works, and enhance international communication capacity.
Not only will matchmaking platforms be built, but the integration of services for domestic and foreign trade will also be promoted. The "Four Enterprises" linkage platform will be fully utilized to actively carry out international economic and trade matchmaking activities and promote the joint development of state-owned and foreign enterprises. By upgrading the "Yumaotong" digital-intelligent trade platform, Chongqing Qianxin Foreign Economic and Trade Group will give play to its role as a "super router" that connects international and domestic markets, driving more small and medium-sized foreign trade enterprises and distinctive agricultural products and hardware and electrical products from districts and counties to "go global," helping the city achieve integrated growth in foreign trade.
