On January 12, construction sites of multiple projects in the startup area of Xiong'an New Area were bustling with activity and full of drive. At the site of the residential portion construction general contracting project of the Phase II University Town Relocation Support Project in the startup area, undertaken by China Railway No. 4 Engineering Group, machinery roared and voices buzzed, transport vehicles shuttled back and forth, and more than 200 construction workers each performed their duties and worked in coordination.

Currently, among the 22 buildings in this residential project, 16 have completed pile foundation construction, with a cumulative total of 3,525 piles completed, and foundation pit trench inspection is being advanced in parallel. The project team has refined the task list and is closely monitoring key processes. It is expected that pile foundation construction will be fully completed before the Spring Festival, after which the project will move into the raft slab operation stage, creating a comfortable and livable home for future relocated residents.

At the same time, the Xiong'an Campus Project of the University of Science and Technology Beijing and the Fifth Group University Town Support Phase I Lot 5 Project in the startup area, both undertaken by China Railway No. 4 Engineering Group, are also being advanced in an intense and orderly manner.

During construction, the Xiong'an Campus Project of the University of Science and Technology Beijing has applied smart construction methods such as BIM technology and intelligent steel reinforcement processing, increasing the efficiency of processes such as steel bar tying and concrete pouring by up to 95%. At present, the main teaching building has completed its underground foundation structure and is undergoing above-ground main structure construction; single buildings such as the Teacher Innovation Workshop and the lecture hall have completed 100% of their total foundation construction. A modern campus with complete functions and advanced facilities is taking shape at an accelerated pace.

In response to the characteristics of winter construction, the Fifth Group University Town Support Phase I Lot 5 Project in the startup area has strictly implemented antifreeze and insulation measures and adopted a "zoning implementation, cross-over advancement" model, advancing main structure construction by an average of 800 square meters per day. At present, more than half of the basement structure of the project has been completed, and the office building has been constructed up to the second above-ground floor. It will provide important office, commercial, and accommodation support for the University Town area.

Once completed, these projects will not only meet the home purchase and rental needs of faculty and staff from the first batch of four universities, helping to quickly form a stable economic circle and drive regional development, but will also create a large number of employment opportunities for local residents, further promoting deep university-city integration and facilitating comprehensive and coordinated regional economic development.
