On January 7, the first pile foundation of Huangtianba Bridge in the CZTJ-1 section of the G4 Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao Expressway Changsha Guangfu to Zhuzhou Wangshiwan (Zhuting) expansion project was drilled in Ansha Town, Changsha County.

Project Introduction

The abutments at both ends of Huangtianba Bridge are located on hillsides, mainly crossing gullies, farmland, rivers, and rural roads. According to the relevant person in charge of the contractor, China Railway 25th Bureau Group, Huangtianba Bridge has a designed length of 576 meters and a deck width of 42 meters. Both the left and right spans of the entire bridge consist of 5 continuous units; the superstructure adopts prestressed concrete (post-tensioned) small box girders, which feature strong span coordination and high construction efficiency, can effectively lower the route elevation, better meet the road clearance requirements, and reduce land occupation.

It is reported that the CZTJ-1 section of the G4 Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao Expressway Changsha Guangfu to Zhuzhou Wangshiwan (Zhuting) expansion project is located in Changsha County, Changsha City. The starting point of this section is the Qingshanpu hub interchange connecting to the existing G4 expressway, with the Lukou interchange in Lukou Town connecting to Huangxing Avenue, and the Chunhua interchange in Chunhua Town connecting to Provincial Road S206, with a total length of 25.44 kilometers.

The route has a total length of 143.952 kilometers and a standard subgrade width of 42 meters.

To ensure the smooth progress of the project, the Changsha County Key Construction Project Affairs Center has fully leveraged its coordinating role and efficiently completed key work such as preliminary land coordination and funding guarantees, providing solid support for the smooth advancement of the project.

The G4 Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao Expressway Changsha Guangfu to Zhuzhou Wangshiwan (Zhuting) expansion project starts north of the existing Guangfu interchange in Qingshanpu Town, Changsha County, where a mainline bifurcation hub separates it from the existing Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao Expressway. It runs south through Guoyuan Town and Huanghua Airport in Changsha County, and through Baiguan Town, Gantian Town, and Longmen Town in Zhuzhou City, ending south of the Zhuting interchange in Zhuting Town, Lukou District, where it connects to the reconstructed and expanded G4 Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao Expressway Wangshiwan to Leiyi section. The route has a total length of 143.952 kilometers. A total of 15 interchanges are set along the entire line, including 6 hub interchanges and 9 general interchanges. The mainline is reconstructed and expanded to a two-way eight-lane expressway standard, with a design speed of 120 km/h and an integral standard subgrade width of 42 meters.

After the overall project is completed, it will become Hunan's first newly built two-way eight-lane expressway, greatly improving the capacity of the main north-south transportation corridor in China, improving the national and Hunan provincial expressway networks, and playing an important role in strengthening transportation links in the core area of the Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan urban agglomeration.
