On December 30, 2025, Huaneng Group issued the tender announcement for the pile foundation works of the Huaneng Shanxi Branch Shanyin 2×1,000 MW "large replacing small" coal power project.

This phase of the project involves the construction of two 1,000 MW ultra-supercritical air-cooled coal-fired generating units, along with high-efficiency flue gas desulfurization, denitrification and dust removal facilities. Construction is scheduled to start in April 2026, with both units put into operation in 2028.

Lot division: Lot 1 and Lot 2 of the tender for the pile foundation works of the Huaneng Shanxi Branch Shanyin 2×1,000 MW "large replacing small" coal power project.

Construction site: Beizhouzhuang Town, Shanyin County, Shuozhou City, Shanxi Province (West Zone of Shanyin Economic and Technological Development Zone)

Planned construction period: March 1, 2026 to September 30, 2026; the specific start and completion dates shall be subject to confirmation by the tenderee.

Scope of tender: Lot 1 includes (but is not limited to): reinforced concrete cast-in-place pile construction, pile head breaking and cooperation with pile foundation testing within the scope of Unit 1 main powerhouse, Unit 1 turbine foundation, Unit 1 boiler foundation, Unit 1 flue duct supports, Unit 1 dust collector supports, Unit 1 induced draft fan room, Unit 1 fan foundations, Unit 1 transformers (including main transformer and auxiliary transformer), Unit 1 desulfurization absorber tower, chimney, cooling towers between the two units, network control building, GIS structures and buildings, ash silo, demineralized water tank, gypsum dewatering workshop, limestone grinding workshop, etc. Dynamic compaction of part of the site foundation, post-compaction leveling and cooperation with dynamic compaction testing, etc.

Lot 2 includes (but is not limited to): reinforced concrete cast-in-place pile construction, pile head breaking and cooperation with pile foundation testing within the scope of Unit 2 main powerhouse, Unit 2 turbine foundation, Unit 2 boiler foundation, central control building, coal bunker bay, coal bunker bay transfer station, Unit 2 flue duct supports, Unit 2 dust collector supports, Unit 2 induced draft fan room, Unit 2 fan foundations, Unit 2 transformers (including main transformer, auxiliary transformer and startup/standby transformer), Unit 2 desulfurization absorber tower and the coal conveying system inside and outside the plant, etc.; dynamic compaction of part of the site foundation, post-compaction leveling and cooperation with dynamic compaction testing, etc.
