On December 10, the Huangtong-Baise Railway project is advancing steadily and efficiently

The Huangbai Railway is an important component of the western corridor of the New Western Land-Sea Corridor. The line is 312.6 kilometers long, designed for a speed of 160 km/h, and is a Grade I single-track electrified railway of the national railway network. The project connects to the Shanghai-Kunming Railway and the Longhuang Railway to the north, and to the Nanning-Kunming Railway to the south. Upon completion, it will end the history of no railway access in several counties, including Leye and Lingyun in Guangxi and Zhenning and Ziyun in Guizhou, becoming one of the most convenient railway freight corridors from the southwestern interior to the Beibu Gulf Port.

As of the end of November, the project has achieved significant progress. The entire line has completed a cumulative investment of 9.7435 billion yuan, accounting for 30.39% of the total preliminary design budget. Among this, the annual investment plan completion rate for the Guangxi section has reached 97.86%, and the Guizhou section has reached 89.3%. Engineering works are advancing rapidly, with over 81% of bridge pile foundations completed across the entire line and over 36% of tunnel main bore excavation completed. In the Guangxi section, the completion rates for subgrade earthwork, bridge pile foundations, and pile caps all exceed 45%, among which the bridge pile foundation completion rate has reached 94%, and 7 tunnels have been holed through.
