The reconstruction project of the Ji'an Jinggangshan Bridge starts from Huasheng Road in Jizhou District in the west and ends at Qingyuan Avenue in Qingyuan District in the east, with a main line length of 2.253 km. The main bridge crossing the Ganjiang River is 1,310 m long and 38 m wide, with a design speed of 60 km/h. It mainly includes the demolition of the old bridge, the construction of a new bridge across the Ganjiang River (main bridge, approach bridges, and ramp works), and the road works connecting to the bridge.

The new Jinggangshan Bridge main bridge across the Ganjiang River has a total of 242 piles, in three diameters of 1.5 m, 2 m, and 2.5 m, with lengths ranging from 26 m to 53 m; all underwater concrete was poured using the tremie method. Due to uneven rock weathering, weak interlayers, inclined rock interfaces, and karst conditions, boreholes are highly prone to deviation. The construction team innovatively adopted the process of "combined drilling with impact drill and rotary drilling rig to form the borehole," effectively solving the difficulty of controlling borehole verticality under complex geological conditions. In addition, the project established a mud circulation treatment system to protect the clear water of the river.
As of the end of November, 128 piles of the main bridge had been completed, accounting for 53%. Among them, the piles for main piers No. 7, 8, and 9, which are on the critical path, have all been completed, and construction of the cofferdam interlocking steel pipe piles has now started. A total of 41 piles of the ramp bridge have been completed, accounting for 82%; 18 ramp pile caps have been completed, accounting for 86%; and 14 ramp pier shafts (abutments) have been completed, accounting for 67%.
