On December 4, Sinohydro Bureau 15 successfully won the bid for the EPC general contracting construction project of the 2023 High-Standard Farmland Demonstration Zone Construction Project in Huaibin County, marking an important breakthrough in the relevant construction field.

The project is located in Qisi Town and Wangdian Township, Huaibin County. Its main construction content includes systematic works such as land leveling, soil improvement, irrigation and drainage, field road hardening, and ecological protection, covering a total construction area of 100,000 mu. Among them, Qisi Town involves 11 administrative villages and the public land of Fangjiahui Reservoir, with an implementation area of about 54,000 mu; Wangdian Township involves 8 administrative villages, with an implementation area of about 46,000 mu.

Through a combination of new construction and renovation, the project will comprehensively upgrade the regional farmland infrastructure. Upon completion, it is expected to add and improve irrigation area of 100,000 mu, increase average grain yield per mu by more than 15%, raise annual output by about 12,000 tons, and directly benefit more than 20,000 farming households. It will help the local area build a high-standard farmland system featuring "squared fields, networked forests, connected canals, linked roads, irrigation in drought, and drainage in flood," strongly promoting the modernization and sustainable development of regional agriculture.
