On November 29, the First Expert Demonstration Meeting on the Phased Achievements of China's Plateau-Equivalent Low-Altitude Built Living Environment Health and Medical Research, jointly hosted by CRCHI (China Railway Construction Heavy Industry Corporation) and the Tibet Autonomous Region People's Hospital (Tibet Plateau Medical Research Institute), was held in Lhasa. The meeting released the world's first systematic clinical medical research results targeting "plateau-equivalent low-altitude buildings," marking a breakthrough achievement by China in leveraging scientific and technological innovation to proactively improve the plateau living environment.

The meeting concluded that this two-year clinical study strictly followed scientific norms and adopted a randomized crossover controlled trial design, confirming that the equivalent low-altitude micro-pressure environment created by CRCHI's "Plateau Space Station" effectively mitigates the increase in red blood cells and hemoglobin, significantly lowers blood pressure levels, improves sleep quality, markedly raises blood oxygen saturation and maintains it at a relatively high level, and can significantly improve the health status of plateau migrants. The research not only verified the safety and effectiveness of this environment for human health, but also preliminarily explored key parameters such as the most suitable internal pressure and pressurization/depressurization rates within the building, providing core medical evidence for the establishment of relevant technical standards and offering an innovative solution for preventing and alleviating acute and chronic mountain sickness.

In his report "Achievement Application and Strategic Planning," Lahaiwen, Deputy General Manager of CRCHI Tibet Company (presiding over management), pointed out that based on clinical data feedback, the team has made major breakthroughs in core technologies such as building airtightness and intelligent environmental regulation, successfully optimizing the pressurization and depressurization control system to ensure smooth and comfortable environmental switching. At present, the product has established a "six-constant" healthy environment featuring constant pressure, constant oxygen, constant temperature, constant humidity, constant purification, and constant cleanliness, effectively alleviating the discomfort caused by low pressure and hypoxia at high altitude and significantly enhancing living comfort and health protection.

At present, the "Plateau Space Station" has been transformed from research results into a "life oasis" safeguarding the health of plateau populations, and has been successfully applied in multiple key scenarios. At high-altitude scientific research stations, it serves as a "support cabin" for researchers to maintain good physical condition; in tourist resorts, it enables visitors to enjoy a comfortable experience of "worry-free travel to Tibet"; and at grassroots medical points, it creates a safer low-altitude diagnosis and treatment environment for the public. These practices fully verify the product's broad application value and social benefits.

Experts in plateau medicine and building environment from Tibet, Qinghai, Dalian, Beijing, and other places attended the demonstration meeting. The experts unanimously agreed that the research results have important academic value and provide an innovative medicine-engineering interdisciplinary solution for exploring health protection for plateau populations. The next step, continuing to carry out in-depth related research, will make important contributions to plateau economic and social development and the health and well-being of the people.

The convening of this demonstration meeting is not only a professional review and concentrated display of the phased research results, but also a key step in promoting the translation of plateau living environment health and medical research results. CRCHI Tibet Company will continue to deepen cooperation with research institutions and medical institutions, improve the product technology system, expand application scenarios, and promote the innovative product "Plateau Space Station" to better serve the improvement of plateau living environment health, using the power of science and technology to change the future of livable plateaus.
