10月30日，江西赣县抽水蓄能电站主体工程开工。
江西赣县抽水蓄能电站是国家“十四五”重点实施项目、江西省“十百千万”工程行动计划项目，为一等大（1）型工程。枢纽建筑物主要由上水库、下水库、输水系统、地下厂房洞室群及地面开关站组成，共安装4台单机容量300兆瓦的可逆式水泵水轮发电机组，首台机组计划于2029年12月投产发电，2030年7月全面建成投产。
项目建成后，将承担江西电网调峰、填谷、储能和紧急事故备用等任务，预计每年可吸纳17.28亿千瓦时低谷电量，提供12.96亿千瓦时高峰电能，年节约标煤42.8万吨，减少二氧化碳排放量106.68万吨。
水电十四局全体参建者将提高政治站位，强化资源配置，科学有序组织施工，通力合作推动施工建设任务高质量完成，以工程丰碑赢得良好品牌口碑，为助力赣南革命老区高质量发展注入强劲的绿色动能。
