From October 14 to 17, the 13th National Mine Rescue Skills Competition, co-hosted by the Ministry of Emergency Management, the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, the Communist Youth League Central Committee, the National Mine Safety Administration, and the Shandong Provincial People's Government, was held in Jining, Shandong.

At the opening ceremony, Song Yuanming, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Emergency Management and Director of the National Work Safety Emergency Rescue Center, emphasized the need to strengthen scientific and technological support and vigorously develop new quality combat power; to emulate heroes and role models, transform the tactics and techniques honed on the competition field into powerful rescue combat capability, achieve safe, scientific, and efficient rescue, and demonstrate through concrete actions that "the people come first and life comes first." This requirement is not only an earnest expectation for rescue teams but also highlights the inevitable trend of deep integration between "technology" and "rescue."

This competition added drilling and drainage events for the first time. The drilling group separately set up events including drilling fluid performance preparation, directional instrument operation, truck-mounted drilling rig practical operation, and impactor disassembly and assembly. The XCMG XSL1000 deep well drilling rig, as the official competition rig for the 13th National Mine Rescue (Drilling Group) Skills Competition, provided solid support throughout the event.

On the competition field, the contestants were fully focused, from precise positioning in underground spaces to rapid response in special environments, interpreting the perfect integration of technology and rescue with superb skills and drilling through life channels in simulated disaster environments.
