On September 10 local time, the 500 kV power transmission and transformation project of Lot 26 of the Chilean Decree No. 198 power transmission and transformation project cluster, undertaken by Power Construction Corporation of China (POWERCHINA), officially received the Provisional Taking-Over Certificate for the main works issued by the owner Transelec S.A. of Chile, marking a key step toward delivery and commissioning.

The project is located in the Santiago Metropolitan Region of Chile. Its main construction scope includes the addition of a 750 MVA autotransformer at the Lo Aguirre 500 kV substation, the expansion of the 500 kV GIS building, and the capacity upgrade of main equipment and the renewal of multiple bays at the Alto Jahuel 500 kV substation.

During project execution, the performance team overcame challenges such as repeated COVID-19 outbreaks, differences between Chinese and foreign standards, and live-line work in the complex environment of high-voltage lines, leveraging POWERCHINA's global resource integration and localized execution capabilities to ensure the safe and high-quality completion of the project.
