On August 18, SEPCO III held a hoisting ceremony for the first wind turbine of the 600MW Al-Ghat Wind Power EPC Project in Saudi Arabia. Meshal K. Al-Maqati, Executive Director of the SPPC (Saudi Power Procurement Company) project, representatives of Marubeni Corporation, representatives of the Alajlan Brothers Group, representatives of the project owner company, representatives of Windey Group, and representatives of the project team attended the ceremony.

During the ceremony, representatives of the project owner company, representatives of Marubeni Corporation, representatives of the Alajlan Brothers Group, and Mr. Meshal K. Al-Maqati delivered important speeches in turn, extending warm congratulations on the important milestone achieved in the project construction. In his speech, Mr. Meshal K. Al-Maqati fully affirmed and highly praised the courageous and hard-working spirit demonstrated by the project team, and expressed great gratitude for the team's diligent efforts. He hoped that the project team would continue to build on its momentum, maintain the good trend, and ultimately achieve satisfactory results.

The Al-Ghat Wind Power Project in Saudi Arabia adopts domestically produced 7.7MW wind turbine generators, which are currently the largest single-unit capacity turbines in Saudi Arabia. Once completed, the project will provide clean and stable electricity to hundreds of thousands of residents and reduce reliance on long-distance power transmission. It can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 1 million tons per year, equivalent to planting nearly 50 million trees.
