Recently, the Caterpillar-chassis rotary drilling rig KR360C of Wuxi Taiheng Foundation Engineering Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Taiheng Foundation") is supporting the construction of the world's largest offshore airport—the Dalian Jinzhou Bay International Airport project. As a key project of the national "14th Five-Year Plan," the project adopts offshore artificial island construction, with a reclaimed land area of 20.29 square kilometers. Once completed, it will have two long-distance runways, a 500,000-square-meter terminal, and 299 aircraft stands, and is expected to achieve an annual passenger throughput of 43 million, cargo and mail throughput of 550,000 tons, and 328,000 aircraft movements by 2035.

In such a massive project, the stone layer in the reclamation area is highly hard and dense, and traditional equipment has low hole-forming efficiency and is prone to hole deviation. Taiheng Foundation andPilingthe LU Yinghui partner Beijing Vibroflotation joined forces, with Taiheng's KR360C working in coordination withBeijing Vibroflotation's vibrators. Targeting the high hardness and density of the reclamation stone layer, a 0.8-meter-diameter pilot hole precisely penetrates the 20–22-meter backfill layer and a steel casing is installed, after which thevibratorperforms dense gravel reinforcement. The fully electronically controlled hydraulic system from Caterpillar on the KR360C enables intelligent matching of power and load, maintaining stable torque output during drilling in the backfill stone layer. Combined with the self-developed 3-motor power head and one-touch rock-entry mode, the hole-forming efficiency is increased by 30% compared with traditional equipment. The reason Taiheng Foundation can take on a heavy responsibility in such a major project is inseparable from its world-leading rental service system. Although headquartered in Wuxi, Taiheng's rental business has achieved a global layout. All rotary drilling rigs adopt a modular design and are convenient and efficient to transport with the mast, ensuring rapid mobilization and immediate entry into construction. Even more noteworthy is that, relying on its self-developed "Taizhi Kaiqi Cloud" intelligent management platform, Taiheng achieves real-time monitoring and intelligent operation and maintenance of equipment worldwide, using big data analysis to provide early warning of potential failures and ensure zero delays in the construction process. Whether a project is located domestically or overseas, Taiheng's professional service team can provide a 2-hour rapid response, truly giving customers peace of mind. TYSIM TYSIM At present, the reclamation works of Dalian Jinzhou Bay International Airport have been completed 95.25%, and the airport is expected to be put into use in the first half of 2028. In today's era of increasingly homogeneous equipment performance, Taiheng has established a service advantage that is difficult to replicate by building a global rental service network, creating an intelligent operation and maintenance platform, and cultivating a professional technical team, continuously providing trustworthy solutions for global infrastructure projects. As the main terminal construction is about to fully commence, Taiheng will continue to use ultimate service as its engine to provide efficient and reliable piling solutions for this world-class project and help China build a benchmark global international aviation hub.
