On August 5, at the CNOOC Engineering Zhuhai Deepwater Equipment Manufacturing Base, the Zoomlion ZCC89000 super-large lifting equipment completed the first lift of the bottom section of the JK1 jacket for the Inch Cape European offshore wind power project. This lift broke the base's previous record for the heaviest steel structure lift, which had been held by "Hai Ji No. 2."

The main structure of the lower jacket section is about 47 meters long and about 35 meters high, with a total weight of 1,347 tons, roughly equivalent to 1,000 cars. To accomplish this arduous task, the CNOOC Engineering team adopted a coordinated "main crane + two auxiliary cranes" scheme, in which the Zoomlion ZCC89000 crawler crane, put into use for the first time, is a 4,000-ton-class super-large piece of equipment that served as the core main crane bearing the principal load. As the main crane, it has operating capability under super-lift counterweight conditions and demonstrated outstanding stability and wind resistance in the lifting of super-large structures, greatly enhancing operational safety. The equipment's intelligent coordinated control system further improved precision control during the lift, ensuring the accurate positioning of the jacket.

Under the coordinated operation of the Zoomlion ZCC89000 crawler crane and two crawler cranes, after 3 hours of precise operation, millimeter-level positioning was ultimately achieved, with the lifting error strictly controlled within ±3 millimeters. The three pieces of equipment worked together precisely to achieve dynamic balancing; the entire lifting system, through real-time spatial positioning by the BeiDou positioning system and millisecond-level response of the hydraulic synchronous control system, achieved extremely high-precision coordinated operation, perfectly demonstrating the hard-core strength of the integration of heavy equipment and intelligent control technology.
It is reported that the Inch Cape European offshore wind power project is located in the North Sea region off Scotland, with a planned installed capacity of 1.08 GW and plans to install 72 Vestas V236-15.0 MW offshore wind turbines. The wind farm is 15 kilometers off the coast of Dundee, Scotland, and once fully operational will be able to supply power simultaneously to more than half of Scottish households.

The smooth completion of this lift is not only a major breakthrough for CNOOC Engineering in technological innovation and project execution capability, but also accumulated valuable experience for subsequent offshore wind power projects. Once the project is fully operational, it will strongly advance the global energy transition, reduce carbon emissions, and promote the development of the renewable energy industry. In the future, Zoomlion will continue to deepen its cultivation in the field of heavy equipment manufacturing, using technological innovation as an engine to continuously break through the performance boundaries of super-large lifting equipment, and keep striving in the directions of intelligence, green development, and high efficiency. It will use smarter and more intelligent equipment to help advance the global energy structure transition and the realization of the "dual carbon" goals, and write a new chapter in green development with hard-core technology.
